Did you book it as whole package? Including flight? I feel so overwhelmed, we want be there next Spring and I am so lost ;/
Tips and Advice would be GREATLY appreaciated.
I booked through Walt Disney World. We booked a room and dining package, no flight, it is cheaper for us to drive.
Booking through WDW was easy and they walked me through everything.

We haven't been yet! 2 months, 4 weeks and 2 days until we leave. We are staying at Port Orleans Resort-Riverside and she gave us a Garden View! We are so excited, I can't wait to go!

POR is a great resort!! We usually stay there as my Mom is a huge fan(kids love the pool and the grounds).. Have a great time.
We have usually been able to take advantage of the free dining offer ( we go in Sept).. and I book directly with Disney. You do not have to book your airfare directly with Disney to take advantage of the Magic Express. I have actually found cheaper flights for my family by booking them seperately. Also a note.. if you are thinking about insurance covering.. you can still purchase that through Disney.. and it WILL cover your flights (regardless of how they were purchased) should an emergency situation arise. Insurance through Disney costs about 62.50 per adult with the children automatically covered.
If you choose to use a TA, you will want one that is preferably noted as a graduate of Disney's College of Knowledge as well one that will look for what YOUR family wants to experience.. not just selling you anything.
Being that we live in FL there is no flight. However we usually book online through the Disney Site. As for the hotel you need to decide how much you are willing to spend as Disney has value resorts, and high end rooms. We always stay in the value resorts (Pop Century, or Any of the All Stars) and love it there. Once you get to Disney property you most likely won't need a vehical, because there are busses that run you everywhere. It usually is cheaper to book as a whole package, and the Disney Dining plans CAN be good if planned out the right way.
Everything together. Booked in Jan for a May vacation
We booked with Cathy (Cruiseagentmom)! She got us all kinds of neat little perks, like a gift card, awesome lunches and dinners! And when we needed her WHILE on vacation, she was right there for us! We called her and she resolved the issue immediately.
We booked a package (room, food, tickets), but we were able to save money on cheaper flights, so we did that.
