Going to Disneyland in March or April and need help
DH will have some time off sometime mid March/Early April and so we have decided to take a trip to Disney Land before we PCS to our next duty station.
I took my daughter there a few years ago (she was about 16 months at the time) and it was a fairly enjoyable experience. We watched the parade, rode a few rides, had Minnie's breakfast, lunch in Ariel's grotto, met the princesses.
This year I am excited since she is older and can experiance and enjoy more.
We dont want to over plan but I would like an idea of what kinds of things she can do now, what rides and attractions will be worthwhile, etc.
She is 4 years old, 38-39 inches, and about 34 lbs.
Bump for other moms
That is exciting! I hope you have a wonderful time! At that age you can't beat Toontown and Fantasy land. Lot's of preschool rides there like Dumbo train, Peter pan, Alice in Wonderland are all preschool friendly. Chip n' Dale tree house is fun, Minnie and Mickey's houses are so cute! My son LOVES Donald's boat if you don't mind your Daughter getting wet. Goofy's Play house is awesome. Be careful of Snow White and Pinocchio as they are pretty scary. Rodger Rabbit and Gadget are faster rides so judge by your daughter's likes / fear.
Don't forget to grab a times sheet so you can meet characters. They will be in toontown, princesses at castle and grotto, Tinkerbell at Pixi Hallow, Pooh characters in Critter County. Pooh ride is awesome! Disney Jr. has a live stage show! But I like to skip crowds and meet chara. at breakfast or lunch at Goofy's Kitchen in Disneyland Hotel. The food is great and you can take the monorail to the park after.
We love the Jungle cruise especially for a fun rest. While you are resting don't forget It's a small world. The parade is great and we love Fantasmic but it can get pretty scary so you decide or bring a distraction.
thanks!
When we went last time, she was only about 16 months old. We watched the parade, saw Mickey's house, met the princesses, and had Minnie's breakfast. We also did the tea cups, dumbo, its a small world, the carousel and the train ride. Oh and toured Sleeping Beauty's castle.
She is older and will love to do all the things you mentioned! Thanks!

I forgot to mention the brand new Little Mermaid Ariel's Undersea Adventure in California adventure park. I haven't seen it yet but can't wait.

It's awesome! I was just there before Christmas. World of Color is a must. Get to California Adventure when it opens and go over by Grizzly River Rapids. There is a fast pass available for World of Color...even if you don't get the fast pass it won't matter much. The show is high enough up over the water that it can be seen great from every viewing area. They have revamped a lot of stuff at California Adventure, really good for the little ones. Don 't forget Turtle Talk with Crush...that's a must! If you go to downtown Disney, stop by Studio 365. Say hi to Ann from her Canadian pal Sandra. They do an amazing job of "glammin" up the little ones! I would look into the Character Breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen in the Disney Hotel. Really worth it!
Have a Magical Time

thanks!
Im beginning to think 3 days isnt going to be enough time to do everything we want! We may invest in an annual pass

You could get it in with very careful planning. But if I lived close enough for an annual pass I would definitely consider it. Too bad I live in NY! Either way you will have a great time and your daughter will love it!
