Or could I possibly get a lower price booking thru a travel agent or other travel website?  We waited too long to book and now there are no family suites at hte music resort available for the spring discount.  :-/  Its about $400 more without the spring discount.

When I booked ours I booked through AAA - the rates were the same but we were using a special the Disney was running.  I would check into other ways of booking and compare...Best of luck

Usually AAA does have a discount if Disney isn't running other offers.

Plus, booking made through AAA travel gets extra perks like the Exclusive storytime and Preferred firework viewing, Diamond lot parking, just to name a few extra perks.

I've always gone through the website but I'm thinking of using AAA this go round. I'm going to go down and talk to someone next week and see what kind of deal I can find.

I booked through Disney for our upcoming Trip. We'd got some quotes from AAA prior to that, but they were actually more expensive. AAA had some additional perks, but it wasn't enough for us to go through them. We booked everything but the Flight through Disney. For some reason, Southwest wasn't showing at all, and neither were nonstop Flights. So, we booked that through Southwest directly.

Hi......I had to reply becz I work with AAA part time and have never seen AAA pricing ever being more expensive at all. Whatever pricing that Disney is offering, AAA can get that and if extra discount applies ,we get that too.

Sounds like the person you spoke to didn't check out all the pricing options and may have click on the price that pop up on the screen and didn't verify all the details and other offers.

We just had our January Disney month promotions where on top of the discounted rates, our members were given a Roll away Mickey Mouse suitcase. ( value at $ 119 retail ) & the vacation did NOt costs one cent more than what Disney was charging.

If Disney is going to be cheaper directly....why would AAA want to help promote DIsney and get beat out by them directly in pricing.

Eh, I don't know. Maybe they didn't check everything out, but we were given 3 different Quotes, and all of them were considerably more expensive.

No big deal though. We didn't mind doing it on our own. AAA has been good for us for many years with everything else.

Here's something I found out when I was booking. If you call the Swan (Westin Property) directly you can get a really good deal on a really nice hotel inside Disney. But you have to call the property (or the Westin) directly ( you cannot book through the Disney site, because they jack up the price). You can also use your Starwood points for discounts. I decided to stay outside of the WDW instead, because we are also going to Legoland during our stay. But when I booked the room, I was able to get a 6-day, 5-night visit for $850 using Starwood points and booking through the Westin directly. For Easter week!

they are usually about the same, AAA offers the same specials as Disney, only difference is you get Diamond parking...I called yesterday and was lucky to get a flex discount...We are staying at the Yacht club with about 40% rate for 7 days
