  • i know what u mean.. thats the only issue i had but  once i figured it out it was ok... i  put mine in the center seat and hooked it with the seat belt.. i put thru the seat and latched it in the seat belt latch then i put my knee and weight in the seat and just pulled the seat belt and set it to lock...(u know when u pull a seat belt and then it will lock on its own) then with weight in the seat pulled it as tight as i could and set the locking clips... which  i do agree was alittle tricky but i eventually got it pretty tight.

    i hope this made sense...

  • i cant put mine in the center because my center belt wont stay tight for some reason. but when i try to make it tight (i also kneel in the seat and tighten it that way) then i cant buckle the red and yellow latch thingy. but if i do it when it is lose, then i cant tighten it....ughhh i love this seat but its a pain RF it....

  • its allowed to move alittle bit.. i think no more then an inch.. i had issues with the locking clips being where there is like screws on the seat belt.. so i just kept tighting till i was pass it and then i would lock the clip really fast... it took me a couple times but finally got it tight..

  • Is your seatbelt moving down towards where the lock off is supposed to lock?  That is always my problem but, after a few times, it becomes pretty easy to install.  What I have to do is get it as tight as possible and then have hubby come and push down on the seat with all of his weight.  While he does that, I am holding on to the belt to keep it tight while pulling up on the seatbelt that is blocking the lock off so it is out of the way.  It has to be done pretty quickly.  Do your seatbelts not lock?  What yr is your vehicle?  Did you try to pull the lap portion all the way out of the retractor and then releasing it back in?  There should be a ratcheting sound while you are letting it back in the retractor and this locks the seatbelt.  This should help keep the seat tight in place while you wiggle the lap portion out of the way so you can lock the belt.  If you are having a lot of difficulty with it, take it to a certified tech in your area.  You can find one by clicking on the link in my siggy.  I have LATCH so I don't really have this problem
