Britax vs. True Fit
which one i am looking at both my daughter is now getting to the age that she needs a bigger car seat, but i am so lost and i need help
I love my True Fit seat. It's nice a cush-y, so my son is pretty comfy in it. I like that it can rear face up to 35 lbs and forward face to 65 lbs.

I have a Britax Marathon and a True Fit. I love both, but the True Fit seems more comfortable. If they had the true fit out when I was first looking, I probably would've bought that instead of the britax. I like both though

I have both the True Fit and the Marathon for my almost 17 month old son and both seats are great. You really can't go wrong with either one of them. Both seats rear face to 35lbs (if you get a newer Marathon) and both harness to 65lbs. The shell of the True Fit is a bit taller than the Marathon so it will fit children a bit longer than the Marathon. The True Fit is also wider and has a deeper seat so it has more overall growing room and more leg room for children. I love that the True Fit has the removable headrest for rear facing babies under 22lbs. We plan on using this one from birth when we have another baby so this is a great feature. The Marathon doesn't fit newborns very well. I like that the True Fit has a 7 yr expiration on it and most other seats, including the Britax seats, have a 6 yr expiration date on them. This is a wonderful feature because we plan on passing this seat down to the next child. You won't have to rethread the harness on the True Fit! The price is also cheaper than the Marathon. The great thing about the Marathon is it allows the use of the top tether while rear facing. This has not been proven to be any safer but is an added safety feature just in case. Overall, I like the True fit better but both seats are wonderful and both seats fit great in smaller vehicles if you happen to have one. Here are some pics to show you a comparison
17 months, 33 inches and 27lbs, in True Fit

And in the Marathon (same age and size)

Same here!
