Do you do it, or your child? I've been letting Sarah set her own goals and we aren't progressing as fast as I had hoped.
I decide how many pages have to be done a day in a pace. I put that number on the front when he is given the pace. He sets his goal on his goal card each day. He has to check the pace and if he has easy pages or his last page is reading and goes along with the next page, he has to add an extra page. He can do more but not less. If he thinks something is too time consuming, he will ask for permission to lower his goal. He is 7yr. old.
