Cake Balls

These are a HUGE hit at school with my girl's teachers.

All you do is bake a box of devil's food chocolate cake.  Once out of oven (while hot, so be careful if your kids help as my girl's do) break cake into pieces in a large bowl.  Add one whole container of chocolate icing and stir so that the icing gets stirred into entire cake. Roll into balls, like small meat balls-this gets a lil messy.  Place on wax paper or cupcake tin.  Then cover with icing.

Icing Recipe:  melt in microwave 1tbsp of crisco shortening and 1cup of chocolate chips for 1minute.  Stir well and then with a spoon pour over cake balls.  If you want you can do the same thing with white chocolate and drizzle across.  Also, this is GREAT for chocolate covered strawberries and even icing for brownies-my girls love to experiement.
