How to Increase your rank in the search engines, you ask?

Want a higher search rank
in the search engine?

Would you like people to beable to type certain key words in
and find you?

I haven't totally master this yet, but I keep hearing the
marketing gurus say over and over again, reciprocal linking,
and content is king!!!! and I am beginning to see more and
more each day exactly what they are talking about!

What is Reciprocal linking you ask?
reciprocal linking, in other words link swap,
is when two sites link to each other,
I am constantly reminded by the gurus, that this is the way to
go, that the search engines honor sites that have many links
conected to them.

and here is another gold nugget, when you reciprocal link
with another site, don't just put your, url link,
for example... http:// shoppingbuddies. proboards2 .com
but rather do something like this, what key word phrase
do you think people would use to find something on your site?

for example create a text link, something like this,...
Free website traffic, and make that text a link
this is how you would make a text a link....
<*a href=*"http://shoppingbuddies.proboards2.com"*>Free Website traffic
just remove the asterisk
it will be sure, to show up, on your website!!!

So the next time you reciprocal link or link swap with someone
turn it into a text link,

some one may just be looking for what you have to offer.

Yours Truly,
Brigitte Henry

awesome advice! i was wondering about that, and wondering about how to find the information to do it. Now, if I can just figure out html language enough to really and truly do it, i'll be golden. LOL!

It's not hard at all, here is the thing..... oops i just realize something
i fogot one missing element the closing tag which would be in this case
</a>
so for example...
<*a href=*"http://shoppingbuddies.proboards2.com"*>Free Website traffic</a>
just remove the asterisk

so when ever you exchange links with someone, instead of putting your plain url on thier site
put a clickable word text instead.... once again the html code is really simple and it looks like this
<*a href=*"http://shoppingbuddies.proboards2.com"*>Free Website traffic</a>
the word "Free Website traffic" would show up as a clickable text.
link to your page the http part would be the website you want the text to link to
in other words when they click on "Free Website traffic it would go to your desired website.

<a href="http://myspagirlparties.com/jlariscey">Bath and Body Treats</a>

Why won't this work? What did I do wrong?

These codes work with a site that takes these codes...so it depends on where you are trying to post your clickable link.  If it's here on CafeMom then you would want to type out Bath and Body Treats, then higlight Bath and Body Treats with your cursor.  Then above the text box here you'll see the "Add a Sweet Pea" button, just to the left once you highlight the text you want, that link button will appear.  Then you click that button and fill in your website and that will make the link clickable.  For example:  Bath and Body Treats

HTH!!
