He offered us such gems as Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club....even Home Alone.   Oh, how he will be missed.   I was a teenager in the 80's, so his movies were especially appreciated, but at least one of my own teens has seen and loved many of his movies just as much...they're timeless.

My favorite, I think, is The Breakfast Club. Although when I was younger I loved Curly Sue. I could watch that all the time.


All his movies are great, except for maybe, National Lampoon's.
