my 3 year old son will pee for us, not ofton but he still does it. but as for pooping.... he wont do it. he says it scares him to poop on the potty. we tell him its just like going in his diaper except it wont feel icky cuz its not sitting on his butt. i dont know how to help him and his dad(who lives out side the home) says its my job to train this one since he trained our first son.
i tried the 3 day thing and it didnt work.
any advice would be great.

OK so we are finally out of diapers! This past week daddy got on board and we got him out of diapers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How long have you been potty training him?
Is he wearing diapers all the time or underwear sometimes, and diapers/pull ups at others (please explain when he's wearing what)?
Are you using rewards? If so, what and how are you using them?
well at my house he wears underwear during the day and at napt ime and bed time he wears diapers/pullups. but at daddys house he waears diapers all the time. i just cant get daddy to help me out, he thinks it my job this time cuz he potty trained our oldest. it is frustrating cuz i dont want 2 in diapers, new baby due in may.

How often is he at his dad's?
If you can't get dad to get on board with what you are doing at home, your training is going to take TONS longer. One of the biggest keys to potty training is consistancy. If dad isn't making him use the toilet at his house and just gives him diapers, that means your son is getting mixed messages about whether or not he has to potty train.
hes with daddy every day. we live close and work opposite of each other so it works out that way. his dad just gets sick of listening to him cry and say it hurts so he gives in and gives the diapers. i told him eventually hell go. i told him his tummy will hurt him so bad that he will eventually go in there and go poop.... thats how i got him to go pee for us. but he just dont listen.

Then unfortunately your son is going to keep pooping in his pants most likely for a long time if dad isn't making him use the toilet. Hate to be the bearer of bad news. But if dad doesn't make it a priority, your son's not going to do so either. :-(
