my daughters only 20 months so shes not really interested in potty training yet, however, i do have her in pull ups cause for some reason she WILL NOT wear diapers anymore. she used to let me know she pooped in her pull up by coming up to me and pointing at her pull up but now shell actually forget all together about telling me and play with it instead. ive heard of other children going through this but not how anyone resolved it or anything, any advice would help thanks.

This is what I recommend: http://www.cafemom.com/group/562/forums/read/4235060/3_Day_Potty_Training_Post.  It's what I used with my son when he was 23 months old and it worked great for us.

I say go ahead and try to totally train her.  :-)

Let me know if you have questions.

I'm in the middle of training my 19 month old right now.  I'm amazed at how fast she's picked it up.  You might give it a try.  I wasn't sure when/if I should start.  And I really just wanted some magic wand to potty train my daughter.  But it turned out it wasn't too bad.  What do you have to loose?

thanks. ill see if shell do it but shes pretty stubborn lol. this morning she actually came up to me and pointed to her pull up and said "i poo". then i showed her i put it in the potty and explained to her that it was supposed to go in there and then we waved bye to it and she thought that was pretty cool so hopefully it wont be long lol.

I used the 3 day method Andrewsmom suggests.  We also say goodbye to our pee/poop.  It's crazy, but sometimes those things work.  I even took my DD to the potty when I went, and make a big deal about mommy going potty in the potty.  Sometimes I'd even get an M&M.  She'd want one then and go on the potty to get hers.  The bathroom becomes a public place, but I think it kind of has to.  My DD also has an older cousin that she watches to potty.  I think they need models.

How is the training going?

eh, its going slow. shes not liking this 3 day method, im going to try it for a few more days to see if maybe shell catch on & if not, ill try something else. Before I started the 3 day method, she pooped in her pull up and i went and put it in the toilet & she thought it was really funny that we were saying bye to it. so i may keep that part since she seems to like it, lol.
