I've been trying to night-train my 5-year-old son. He goes to bed about 9 and I will go in and take him to the bathroom about 12 and again at 4. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. He was getting easier to wake up and I thought things were doing well. He had only had a couple of accidents during that 3 weeks. Last night, when I went in at 12, he was already wet. We changed clothes and went back to bed. Then, when I went in at 4, he was wet again! I'm hoping that he maybe drank too much too close to bedtime. I'm just not sure what to do next. I don't see an end to all of this!

Were you or his dad bed wetters? If so, it can be hereditary.
I'd let him have about half a cup of liquid at dinner but that would be the last liquid other than maybe a sip or two with brushing teeth before bed.
Is he waking up when he wets on himself or are you finding it when you go in to wake him up to go?
If he's wetting and staying asleep even after wetting, he might not be getting enough sleep and that could be why he's sleeping so hard and not even waking up when he wets himself. Have you considered putting him to be at around 8PM to see if that makes any difference at all?
It is usually when I go in to take him to the potty that I find that he is wet. Last night, I took him to the potty at 12 but then at 4, he was wet. I don't think that either one of us were bed-wetters. I thought things were going well since he was getting easier to wake up during the night. I'm not sure that he would be ready to go to bed at 8. I have trouble getting him in bed before 9. For school, I wake him up at 7:15 but on weekends, he tends to sleep until 8:30 or 9. We are also having changes at our house - my husband's 93-year-old grandpa is now spending his last few days/weeks with us, and we've had to make changes to sleeping arrangements. It didn't bother him at first, but I think it is now. I may have to wait until things "level out" and then try again. What do you think?

Yep, you may want to hold off a bit until life levels out again.
Is he soaking wet when you go in to get him to the toilet?
I really would limit liquids to see if that makes any difference. If he's going to be at 9, I'd stop all liquids after 7.
