Well that pretty much sums it up. As long as she doesn't have any pants or panties on, DD (3) will poop in the potty. What gives?? We've been using a sticker sheet every time she goes poop, and I thought that after going poop in the potty so many time she would "get" that even with panties on she still has to go in the potty. Has it just not clicked yet? It's only been about 3 weeks since we started this, before that she wouldn't poop in the potty at all.
EDIT:::
Well last week we had 2 wonderful days that DD pooped in the potty on her own free will, fully dressed. But that's it. We are back to her pooping in her panties. Today is an odd day, and she pooped 3 times. (Usually only poops once every other day) Today I started her on the cold showers. Now that we have cold water, this is eliciting a response out of her... screaming and sobbing. I can't keep doing this to her. I've read up on poop jail, and I was wondering if this would even work, since she doesn't poop every day. Like I said, it's Usually every other day but sometimes it's 2 days. It doesn't seem fair to put her in if she doesn't have to go. I just don't know what to do. The stickers, rewards, the over the top congrats, showing her how displeased I am... nothing is working. I don't know what to do.
How are you handling the poop messes in the pants?
How long has she been fully pee trained with no messes?
Do you think she knows before that she needs to poop and is just refusing to stop what she's doing to poop or do you think she just doesn't know the 'need to poop' feeling?
Have you tried stalking her and when she starts grunting/squatting, etc., getting her to the toilet?
Have you tried putting her on the toilet and you leave the room to let her have privacy? Some kids need that from the beginning.
She poops just fine all by herself, as long as she doesn't have panties on. She tries to hold her cheeks together with her hands and then runs to go potty. It's really funny to watch... lol. So I think she knows the feeling. I've tried stalking her, and she just holds it in. She has her "signs" and when I see them she goes and sits and "grunts" but says "she can't do it." If she has panties on, it happens within 2 mins of her getting off the potty. That's why I've started letting her run around without panties when I see the signs. Then she goes in the potty! No problem.

Have you tried giving her privacy in the bathroom?
Sounds like you might need to start doing the cold/lukewarm shower with her every time she poops in her pants.
If she goes back to pooping in her underwear, I'd recommend trying the cool/lukewarm shower with her. :-)
Hopefully she's gonna do well now!
Well, it was a one time thing I guess... :(( I will try out the cold shower again. We tried that when it first started happening, but it didn't faze her. Our water wasn't very cold though. It was 115 outside, so even with all cold water, it wasn't very cold! But now that it's cooled off some, we actually have cold water. maybe that will help.
