Peeing weird

My DD is 28 months old and has been successfully peeing on the potty for a while, always telling us when we're away from home if she needs to go.  At home, she will sometimes, other times she has to pee a little (or a lot) before she tells us.  And, she's getting to where she'll tell us 5 out of 7 times when she's pooped in her panties.  (We're hoping telling us immediately after the fact is the next step to telling us before it happens.  Worked with pee...)  She's in panties all day, even dry at naps, and in a cheap  cloth diaper (read--non-moisture-wicking LOL) at night, dry most mornings :)

Anyway, my question is, hubby found this cute Elmo seat pad at TRU and I started noticing something weird.  When dd pees on it, the pee comes straight out between her legs, completely missing the toilet!  She starts shouting "I pee floor!" and it seems to set her back and we have more accidents after that.  I tried adjusting the angle she's sitting, but it's no help.  So, I hid the seat (for now) and went back to just setting her on the big potty, holding her hand if she needs steadying (it's a big whole for a little bottom to fall in...).  But, my question is, should I mention this strange angle issue to the pediatrician?  I joked when she was in the hospital that she peed an arch like a boy when without a diaper, so I guess it's not really a new thing.  But, should we be concerned???

TIA!
Clara

I'd try a different potty seat to see if it might be the potty seat and then I'd speak to the dr if it's not the seat.
