We have taken him to the docter there is nothing wrong with him, we have taken him to a therpist they say there's nothing wrong with him. When we ask him why he doesn't go to the potty he just say he dosent know.  He does not have full poos in the under wear just makes from when he held it in.This he been going on for three years please help.

Ok, I saw your post in another group. The fact that he foes not fully poop in his underwear confirms the idea that he is holding it in until he no longer can and it comes out. Please explain this to a doctor. You need to address the "holding in " issue first and get him regular. Sometimes a laxative may be prescribed which might make it more difficult at first but can ultimately solve the problem. I was working with a 5 yr old who did this and looked up the info-sometimes they get so used to ignoring the signal to go that their body goes through physical changes. Look up encopresis- there were some other books too. Please don't let people convince you to punish him. Just work on it together-cancer are he is already embarrassed and knows he needs help. One of the suggestions is to try having regular times to relax and try to poopike in the morning after breakfast or 20 min. After a meal or upon waking. Often children will be too rushed in the morning or not want to use the toilet at school. Good luck.

I agree.   Sounds like a little bit of constipation if he's holding it in and then unable to control it.

My sympathies to you too though.  3 years after he was basically trained and I'd be losing my mind!

Try giving him plenty of fresh fruit. veggies and juices ..........this should help keep him regular and it'll help him with the constipation .......Punishment is NEVER the answer and don't let anyone convince you otherwise sweety HUGZ from Azra's mom

Consequences are appropriate, especially for a 6 year old.
