Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. We trained my 38 month old son with the 3 day method. It worked great, he was fully trained in 7 days. But just 2 weeks after being fully trained he stopped telling us when he needs to go pee. He still tells us and goes right to the potty when he needs to poop, but pee is an entirely different story. He holds his pee for as long as he can, pees a little in his underwear and continues to try and hold the rest without telling us or going to the potty. We always notice it before he even says anything about his underwear being wet. I'm not sure why this started to happen because he was doing so great. I know it's all still new and accidents are inevitable, but this is literally every time he needs to go. When we are out and about or outside playing, he does usually tell us, but inside our own house, not a chance.
Has anyone else had this type of regression so soon after having their child trained? And if so, what is the best way to get them back on track? So far we've tried: rewards, potty charts, taking toys away, showers to clean him each time (really just to make it annoying for him), having him clean his own underwear, telling him he'll get to wear fun character underwear, and now we've just started to take him at set intervals. Nothing has worked so far. I'm not sure if this is a normal set-back or if something happened to cause it. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Let me know if you have questions.
I am having the same problem. He was doing so great I thought finally after a week or two of trying he finally had it. He did for about 2 weeks or so and now I have to fight with him to even let me change his pull up. I am lucky if he goes on the potty once a day now. Thinking maybe I should just put him back in diapers.

You should get rid of the pull ups and go straight to underwear. Most kids need the pee running down their legs to get them to decide that using the toilet is the best option. Pull ups and diapers are the same thing- they pull away wetness and so the child has no negative consequences for peeing in them.
