ok so we have gone through tons of carseats but my son keeps escaping. he has sensory processing disorder and i think this is one of the issues.
we did buy the safegaurd to go seat that we use in my gmas car because we do not have the latch system right now. he loves this seat and will even climb in it and buckle himself up. so is there another seat like the safegaurd go that doesnt need the latch system
I provide childcare for parents in and around Tulsa,Ok.
every car seat can be used with or without the latch. they legally all have to have latch but they can also all be installed with a seatbelt.
what type of car do you have? what type of budget? I'm assuming if he is in the GO than he is forward facing in a five point harness. how big is he?

Wrong the safe gaurd go carseat can only be instaled with the latch/teather system.
as i said in my post my son is 2 and a half.
and i dont really have a budget but i am needing advice
its on page 30 and 31 of your manual and can be installed using a seatbelt.

you must have a top tether but you can get that retrofitted for free just contact a local dealer.
.

graco Nautilus is a harness to booster seat and works GREAT even in testing with LATCH...
Theres also the Britax Fronteir, it has a very similar chest clip to the safeguard go and is red

i do not think you all understand.the car we have borrowed does not have a tether in it. it is not my car i am not having one put in. now i think it is the way the seat isnt so restrictive i have had the britix. i need ont for a special needs child that does not like to be touched or in a constricted enviroment. the safegaurd is not an option right now,,,, as i have no tether. i want something like the safegaurd that doesnt have to have a tether or latch system
and now we are back to how much does he weigh and how tall is he.
you could look at the cosco highback booster or the evenflo chase both are harness seats without a lot of side.

So the Graco Nautilus would be too restrictive too??
My son has sensory integration disorder and hates carseats but loves the GN and he was ok with our CHase too
Quoting kyle84niki:i do not think you all understand.the car we have borrowed does not have a tether in it. it is not my car i am not having one put in. now i think it is the way the seat isnt so restrictive i have had the britix. i need ont for a special needs child that does not like to be touched or in a constricted enviroment. the safegaurd is not an option right now,,,, as i have no tether. i want something like the safegaurd that doesnt have to have a tether or latch system
the only other thing i can think is the ride safer vest
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KCV61U
but that might be too restrictive too

My SPI kiddo has been very happy in the Britax Frontier. Hope this help, Kimberly
my son is 28 pounds and 38 inches tall. a booster he can get right out of. not all sensory children are the same i have used the frontier and hated it.
she can unbuckle some chest pieces and he can also unbuckle the belt its self.
i am checking into the vest has anyone else used it
