I'm a former peds nursed turned WAHM of 2 boys (ages 3 and 5). I LOVE what I do. I've been with my AMAZING company for a little over 3 years and have ENITRELY replaced my former nursing salary--and then some!
I actually FAILED at other home businesses before finding the right "fit" for me and for my family. I knew that "sales" type things weren't for me and that I didn't have time for inventory, deliveries or parties. That was just not me. So, I searched for over 7 months to find a company that offered what I wanted.

Congratulations on your new job search! It is really exciting seeing mom's choose something to benifit their family instead of sacrafice it!
I LOVE at home businesses! They all have FANTASTIC product and services becuase they cut out the middle man. I am a huge supporter of ALL direct selling companies!
Advice: DO YOUR RESEARCH! Make sure the company is a member of the DSA. The DSA has STRICT guidelines of who can be a member and that keeps companies accountable! Also be sure that if you are doing a direct sales job that NOTHING comes out of your pocket for Hostesses and Specials. Make Sure you go with a company who will tell you UP FRONT Exactly what you will make and not an estimate. Some say you will make 40%-50% off your sales. Be careful! Sometimes that is according to a certain sales amount that you hit and/or before you have to take out to give back to your hostess.
MY STORY:
Years ago, I was a happy Hostess with an awesome consultant who would come to my house twice a year to do shows for me. I just loved all of the Free product I got!
She would always tell me that I would be great at what she does. I dismissed it but I always kept the thought in the back of my brain.
Well, a few years passed and the need arised where I needed to make good money without sacrificing being away from my family. I called my consultant and I got started right away. Best of all I started for FREE! I could not believe that I could make $100 in 2 hours! The weekly paychecks were not bad either! I was hooked!
I have been a Partylite Consultant for over 4 years now. I never thought I would still be doing this! But here I am, Unit Leader of the "Lite Your World" Unit! I just love Partylite and all of the awesome things I have to offer my Hostesses, Customers and those who want to give Partylite a try! Most of all, I am able to set my schedule around my life and I AM MY OWN BOSS! I love my boss! She is great!

There are lots who earn over $500 a month working one day a week, and some who make over $1000/month working 6-7 days/month...this is on their own sales; bonuses from their team members are Above and Beyond that!!
