  • Hey everyone, my name is Kelly. I am married to a wonderful, hard-working man, and we have one daughter who is 8 years old. I have just finished college and obtained my Associates. My major was medical office administration with a minor in office system technology. I am greatful that I have been able to get an education, however, I am having trouble putting all I've learned and finding a job that can fit my schedule. My daughter has autism and I have trouble finding resources for me to have an outside job. I can't find a trustworthy daycare to look after her and understand her needs. Yes she is 8 but she's more at a 3 year old level and many do not have the patience to deal with it because they have to worry about the "normal" children and she almost never lasts in a daycare setting and don't even talk to me about In-home daycare. Not a chance! So I am here on cafemom and in this group as well as a few others looking for LEGITIMATE work from home opps. I want to be able to help with some of the bills. I'm not looking for get rich quick or any type of pyramid schemes. Been there, done that, over it. I do have one thing that I do online that is perfectly legitimate but it requires alot of time and I could potentially make a few hundred dollars a month if I put about 10 hours a day 7 days a week, but that's just not realistic to me. So if you have any LEGITIMATE advice then please send my way! I'm always up for new and exciting things!

  • Hi,
I'm carole, mom of two beautiful daughters.  I am a sahm mostly but I do work on weekends when there is work.  I am an agency nurse, and love both jobs.  I have 7 wahm businesses...and yes they are legitimate.  I hate hearing about how everyone gets ripped off.  I've been there my self.  I've been in internet marketing for 3 yrs now.  Any advice offered I'd take.

  • Hello Carole and WELCOME!

First let me say that it is ALWAYS good to see other nurses here!

In response to your post let me ask this:  How in the WORLD do you keep up with 7 businesses???  For me, I'm so busy with running ONE successfully, that I can't imagine taking on another business or TEAM for that matter.

Have you heard the saying, "Jack of all trades, but master of none"? That may be what's going on here.  It's hard for a team to follow a leader who is "fragmented".  No matter how hard to hide it, your team knows they don't have your all.  They must share you with other businesses and other teams.  That's not fair to them or to YOU! Not to mention that you loose credibility when potential customers/clients/business partners see numerous links in your siggy.(I'm not saying that you do this, but I know MANY here on cafemom have 3, 4 or MORE businesses listed)

I would recommend looking at ALL your businesses and ask yourself WHY you started each one.  If the reason for starting a new one was b/c the FIRST one wasn't earning you the income you wanted then I would SERIOUSLY consider letting it go.  JMHO.  Not all opportunities work for all people.  You  may not be able to focus your efforts to see success in any with so much on your plate.  Props to you for multi-tasking (we nurses are the BEST at this), but you're spreading yourself too thin!

I'd love to chat and share pointers with you.  Maybe I can help you sort this all out and successfully MASTER one and then add more if time warrants.  You're welcome to call my home office 877-461-2448 Toll Free.

    Have a GREAT day!

  • Hi!  I truly want to work at home.  I've tried two DS business - not for me.  I refuse to pay any money to sell another comanies products.  I want a legitimate company that I can work for.  I'm not a saleswoman and I won't do cold calling.  Please pm me, if you know of real work at home jobs.

I have great secretarial and organizational skills!

    Thanks!

  • Hello there!

We are moms who run home businesses here.  So, if you're "job" seeking this isn't the place to find what you're looking for.

Have you tried the job board at
www.passiontosuccess.com ?  They list legit companies that hire employees.

Best of luck in your job search!

  • I am a SAHM of a legally deaf 4 year old so finding a daycare to accept her is kind of out of the question. I need something I can do from home, that doesn't cost anything to start up doing even if its data entry, If I had the money to start something up I wouldn't need a job to work at home....

I just graduated and got my Associates in Business Administration with a concentration in Business, so I know how the inner workings of a business go.

    * Life is only what you make of it, if you don't like it, Change it. You have to change from the inside then work your way out. How can you like what you see on the outside if you don't like what you know is on the inside?*

  • Hello There!

As I stated to an earlier posting, this group is for those who own home-businesses.  We don't work as employees for at home job companies.

If you're seeking a job, try
    www.passiontosuccess.com/jobs.htm
Deb lists legit companies that hire employees. If you can fit their mold, then you just might find something.

    Best of luck!

  • Hi there.  My name is Amanda and I have a 3 y.o. DD and a new DD due August 22nd.  I'm really wanting to be a WAHM but I don't even know where to begin.  I am willing to spend some money for start-up but seeing that we are active duty Army we don't have a lot to spend.  I guess the biggest thing I would like to avoid (other than scams obviously) is cold sales.  I'm not an extremely social person so I don't think I will follow through if I have to do cold sales.  I've tried Mary Kay in the past and I just don't know enough people to not have to resort to cold sales.  I hope you can help me out.
