Hey y'all!
I bought some low fat (I think it's turkey, in fact) smoked sausage- you know the Hillshire Farm one that looks like a kielbasa, right?
Anyhow, does anyone have any recipes to share? I usually use it in soup- but we're sort of soup-ed out right now! lol
Thanks!!

yes those are great- significantly less fat/cal than regular kielbasa! i like to slice it diagonally and stir fry it with onions, green and red peppers, yellow squash, etc. serve with a sweet potato with i cant beleive its not butter spray and yuuuummmy. i also liked to stir it into progresso canned lentil soup then top with chopped tomato and cilantro. thats a great lunch or light supper. you can also cook it up with some eggs or egg beaters (use Pam to cook with) and add salsa or sauteed (again, in Pam) mushrooms. you can add it to bushes vegetarian baked beans as well.
I love turkey sausage - what I would do is slice it up and saute it with onions and green peppers. Start the pan with 1 tsp of oil and let the sausage start to brown. Add all the veges (I usually start with twice as many as I want to end up with because they shirnk down so much). Let them brown a little, and then add chicken broth (or light beer) and cook til the peppers are soft. Very yummy!

This is exactly what I did! And I got whole wheat pitas to use as 'rolls' and made sandwiches. I warmed the pitas up a little bit and the whole thing was like a party in my mouth! YUM! So simple, so easy, so low in points!
Thanks!!
