It has brought big sums of money and miracles of life that could have been tragic. Tomorrow it has been a year since my husbands' near fatal hit and run accident. He had died, but the EMT's brought him back. I did not waver, I did not cry, I did not freak out, I did not think he was going to die, even though he had a foot, maybe a foot and a half, in the grave. He was ran over and the guy who struck him stepped out of his car and stepped over my husband to walk away! We forgave this guy, as hard as it was to even think about it at first. It is hard to forgive someone who left your husband in the middle of a VERY busy street in the dark, early in the morning to just lie there and die, but it was a burden I did not want to carry with me. It was one I let go of very fast. I did not want to rot with hate and revenge and I suggest that anyone else who is harboring any ill feelings towards anyone else, let them go... let them go.
