I have heard that there are some groups for younger kids (my son is 5 & 1/2).  How do you find out if there is one by you and How do you sign your child up?

Enjoy your holiday season!

Some councils are involved in a pilot Scouting program for kindergarten boys (Lions). Not very many councils are currently involved.

Looking at your council's web site -

It does not look like your council is participating in the pilot. However, to find out for sure, and to get more information, contact your council's Service Center.

Yes for sure contact your local council. There are some programs that aren't nationally sponsored or part of this pilot program ( so happy on one hand they are doing the pilots but upset that it is pilot & not nation wide ).

I started a Lions program here in 2003 with hopes that it would get picked up nationally by now, they were watching & hearing, but it has taken years for them to move forward. Our area, after I stepped down, has continued to run it non nationally sponsored. So you might be able to find something. Some people have what they call "pre tiger". Or at the least, maybe he can come & help, like do the activities as long as you are with him. LIke the service projects, etc.
