Hi ladies,
My name is Naomi & my son Wellington is 4 months old. The ped. said to start him on cereal & then baby food. I started him on cereal about a week before his ped. visit (he was 4 months old already)....he seemed to like it. A then I introduced veggies...he seemed to do ok. This week he has been spitting out everything. Is this normal? He even seems to be more mood then before. He still doesn't sleep through the night & seems to be doing worse w/ his sleeping. Any advice??
How will I know if he is allergic, etc??
Thanks ladies!

I think 4 months is still a little young for veggies they are a liitle more difficult for them to digest, which may be the problem. You could try only giving him cereal and see if that helps and as far as allegies he would have a rash. No worries he will adjust. Its new for him so it will just take some time. hope this helps let me know

Yeah i agree. My daughter was around 5 months with the veggies and she took well to it. Alll babies are different though. He may just not want them. And the sleeping issue he may get an upset tummy from the veggies because its harder for there digestion. So i would say to wait a few weeks with the veggies and for bed time give him some cereal and then a bath with the johnson and johnson bed time bath stuff and lotion him all up and my daughter slept a lot better like that.

Quoting nramos221:I started with the level one gerber baby foods. And actually I did cereal mixed with formula, then just cereal, then level one foods, then level one foods with cereal mixed in (made it a little thicker), then level 2, and now he's eating munched up table foods (carrots, mashed pots, beans etc). Thanks for responding ladies. My son seems to be doing a lot better. I'm guessing his little belly needed to get used to the solids.
What solids did you start giving your babies first, besides cereal??
My first had problems with solid foods at times too. They go through stages and everyday will be something else, they might LOVE something one day and the next HATE it!
