My 6 yr old son began complaining of not feeling well 9 mths ago. At the time my pediatrician thought maybe mono , tests showed elevated esr but everything else normal. Then about 6 mths ago neck pain/stiffness in the am began. It got progressively worse becoming more frequent and lasting all day. Then knees, back, wrists and feet would hurt in the am but those pains would go away once he got moving around. Dr. did blood work revealing all normal except positive ANA of 320. With the end of school we saw improvement in all pain except for neck, back and feet. We swim daily and there seems to be correlation between that and reduced pain. There is no swelling or redness. Dr. Consulted with rheumatologist who wants to wait and see. Currently, he complains daily of not feeling well and has a significant decrease in appetite which is concerning because he is really small (less than 5%Ile in height and now weight). not sure this is JRA but just for some answers. This can't be normal.
