what should my first step be???

I am 26.  have 2 children and I an interested in becoming a real estate agent..I love watching shows about real estate and house sales... I think I would really enjoy this type of career. But every time i search online all i get are websites trying to sell me some kind of book or school advertisement...I just want to know the steps I need to take...I live in South Carolina..I know the laws very from state to state.... Any Help Ladies????

 Talk to a few Realtors in your area to get the REAL SCOOP on your market...what it feels like IN YOUR market. 

Getting into RE in some markets is suicide.  Other markets are doing much better.

Then, you have to pick a school to get educated & then get your license.

Be leary of any Broker (or Agent) that latches too tightly onto you because they are most likely going to recruit you into their office.

Thing is...after you get there they won't be much help....but recruiting you is $$ in their pocket so they seem real attentive at first.  I gotta run for the moment.

But the 2 pieces of advice I gace you is the first things you need to do.
