Did You Sell Real Estate While Pregnant?

I was just wondering if any of you were pregnant while you practiced real estate? If so, how long did you work before you gave birth?

I did not go show houses while I was pregnant, but I did do all the marketing, flyers, etc. I did hold an open house while I was 6 months and the reaction was good. No one seemed to think I was incapable or anything. Just well wishes and congratualtions offered.

I am wanting/ possibly planning for baby #2 soon and I plan to continue to sell real estate regardless.

I worked till about a week before I gave birth. and I went back about 3 weeks after.

I took a listing in mid March and had my 3rd son on July 8th. I went on bed rest in May but up until then I did showings & open houses. When on bed rest I still marketed the home and another agent helped out with everything else.

Are you kidding? I was still working in the hospital! LOL!

Seriously, I worked until the last minute and started working again before I even left the hospital (checking email, etc)

I did work through my 2nd and 3rd children pregnancies. I was not very successful during these times especially when I was showing.  In fact one client called and fired me because they thought my condition would slow down my abillity to find them a house and sell theirs. It was the worst phone call ever, because they just had delivered their 1st child.

OMG! That is so harsh! What hypocrites! You would think the fact that you are still working would show your commitment to your job! Meh - who needs clients like that anyhow. They would have just made you miserable in some other way!

I was showing houses a week before I gave birth and was on the phone with someone trying to convince her to put an offer on a house. It worked! She probably felt sorry for me! lol!  couldn't believe I could even speak given all the perkaset (sp?) I was given from my c-section too! lol!
