pick an author and try to read all of their books

I could do either of the two mentioned that isn't the Golden Compass trilogy. I just didn't find it compelling enough to keep reading. In fact, the book angered me with how the kids were mistreated.

I am going to read the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. I think I will try the Twilight stuff also.

I am going to attempt to read everything by Charles De Lint. He was quite a prolific writer so I am hoping to be able to complete it all by this time next year.

Love the Stephanie Plum series, and Twilight.

My goal is to read the rest of the Cedar Cove series. And to try to read everything by Debbie Macomber.

The Sookie Stackhouse books. I read the first one so far.

I'm also going to read the trilogy by Cherry Adair titled Night Fall, Night Secrets, and Night Shadows.
