What do you think of the relationship between Sookie and Bill?

Bill seems a litttle "possive" of her.  I think the emtpyness of not reading Sookie's mind reading his thoughts puts a ? in Bill's character

I think Sookie is just infatuated with him because he is her first vampire. She is comfortable with him because she can't read his mind. I don't like Bill. I think he is too - is the right word 'fatherly'? - to her. I agree that he is possesive. Also bossy and secretive. I just don't care for him. I think if she needs to be with someone who's brain she can't hear, she could find a better vampire for her than Bill.

hmm... its hard to review this one when I have read all of them. It was a fun read. I liked it, but I do agree that Bill is a little....too much. But then again like I said, I have read all of them and I really am not on team bill atm. lol

I've also read more into the series.  I remember thinking that Bill was "outdated" in his relationship with Sookie, and that it was how a southern gentleman might behave during the Civil War.

I can see why Sookie is attracted to him; but I think that there is something kind of off about their relationship which I can't put my finger on. His possesive of her, but doesn't seem to "care" enough about her by putting her needs before his own. Maybe because he doesn't value human life because he's a vampire. I get the feeling he see's her more as a possession than a persom that he is in love with.

The relationship does not seem to be balanced at all, besides Bill being a vampire. He takes but doesn't really give. Sookie just seems to be more infatuated with the novelty of a boyfriend and all the activities that come with the title.

I love their relationship, she is full of questions and wonder about him and he is posessive.  I like the fact that he is always willing to protect her no matter what she might come across.  Oops did I get too far into the books?  LOL I've read the entire series! They are really good! Just watch out if you watch True Blood on HBO, it seemed like the kept the characters, but DO not follow whats in the books, they kinda make their own story line...kinda irritating LOL

Hmmm were you wanting her to be with Eric?  Or Sam Merlotte?  Ugh Eric is such a hunk! I'd rather her be with him LOL Selfish as he may be LOL
