Ki often does. I tell him the same thing my dad told me.

"Can't died in a cornfield."

which he never understands so we end up talking about what that means and sooner or later he's over it and decided he can always try.

Brady used to say it ALL THE TIME, now it is just once in a while. When he says he can't I just tell him 'yes you can. it may be hard for you but you can do it.'

Oh I tell him he can do it all the time but sometime I think he will do it all the time just to get me to do things for him and I won't let him do that then he'll never learn how to do anything himself!

Sometimes I tell them "You can always try."

and if at first you don't succeed, try try again!

then there are the Bible verses about doing everythng the very best that we can.

Good-Better-Best

Never let it rest.

Till your good is better

and your better is BEST

YES.  It's the bane of my existence right now - trying to get the oldest to do homework, and the youngest just says I can't fo the fun of it!  Ugh!

Billy came home with an 18% on his spelling test today!!  I KNOW he can do it.   Grrrrrr......
