There are some artists out there that put out a tight jam or 2, but you can take them or leave them. But if there's a musician out there that weaves magic spells on you with their voice or send you over the moon when they perform live, tell us who they are and why you can't go without them (keep it clean)!!!

Best, Best, Best concert band EVER - Frankie Beverly and Maze!!!   I wish I could have seen Gerald Levert, his voice was magic!

I think I'm even older than you guys because I say Gerald Levert when he opened for Bobby Brown!  He was in "Levert"  and Heavy D came out too!  Oh and Karen White opened too!

Best old school - Sweet Thing, by Chaka Khan, not Mary J. Blige.  Does anyone remember who sang a song that the chorus was 'something something PENNY WITH A HOLE IN IT,"  for the life of me can't remember the whole thing and want to down load it.

Hello Friend!

I gotta give it to you; Frankie B and Maze DEFINITELY bring it live; I was fortunate enough to have witnessed Gerald once as well; he walked past me while singing and I grabbed his hand...my dad laughed at me all night, but now I'm SO glad I did it. I'm from Cleveland, OH and his passing really affected me. I still miss him....

Anyway, as for that song you're looking for, It's called "Hopeless" and it's by Dione Farris; NOW you know why I could start this group, I'm a music FIEND!!! :o) Welcome to the fam Girl, keep posting!!!

P.S. I'm 35, you're not THAT much older than me.

Old school mama here.

He's gone now and that was my Luther Vandross.  I could listen to his cd's all day and night.  I didn't care if it was upbeat or heartmelting slow....he was my guy.
