Pregnancy and Mastocytosis

So I just found out that I am pregnant. I am really worried because the Max's doctor said that there is a 1 :1000 chance of this baby getting Mastocytosis. He also said that I am the carrier of this disease. Anyone know how acurate this information might be? I also read that if I have no gluten or dairy the whole time I am pregnant or breastfeeding then it might diminish any chances of the baby developing this disease.

Any ideas?

Congrats on the pregnancy. The odds are very low so I wouldn't stress over that right now. My outlook on this disease is there are many children that suffer through worse so as unfortunate it is that we and our children have to deal with this disease I would rather deal with this than other things. Relax and enjoy ur pregnancy and the thought of another angel coming into this world. If u need anything feel free to ask. Keep us posted!

How do they know you are a carrier?  I have never heard this before.
