The pediatric dentist that saw Bella told us she had 5 cavities. When we found out what they could use on her they didn't want to use it on her and acted like they didn't want to see her at all. We found a different dentist that did a ton of research on masto and had a whole game plan on how to treat her. He was fantastic! We saw the new dentist yesterday so he could see how bad the cavities were and guess what! She has no cavities!!!! I have been a wreck over this since Nov because that's how long it took us to find a dentist that knew what he was talking about. I'm so glad her teeth are fine! I can't believe that other dentist said she had so many cavities. We would have had to pay $600 dollars out of pocket to fix them plus they would have put Bella through all that for nothing!

OMG!  That is just sick!  I can't believe people!  So glad that she doesn't have any and that you were able to find a great dentist that really cares!

Wondering what did you find out can be used for her at the dentist?

You can use lidocaine as long as it doesn't have epinephrine in it. I'm still so mad about the whole thing. The only good thing that came out of it was finding this new dentist.

Thanks!  I am so worried about Candice going to the dentist for the first time.  Took her last year but she was just 2 and she wouldn't go for it.  She just turned 3 last week and we are getting ready for the next dental check up for the kids and want her to be seen this time.  Hope and pray it goes well!  It's so hard to find good docs, dentists, etc!  Why???  Frustrates me like crazy!  Maybe that's why I got shingles over spring break here! LOL  Not funny but so much stress in life its no wonder!

Thanks for the info!!!  Hope I don't need it but good to have just incase!

Bella does not like the dentist at all! She screams the whole time. The only good part about her screaming is that they don't have to worry about getting her to open her mouth. LOL! The first time we took her my husband had to sit in the chair and hold her still. I felt so bad she wanted to sit with me but I was almost 9 mths pregnant and there was no way we would have fit. LOL!

I was just telling my hubby last night that when Candi goes to the dentist this time he is going to have to go with us!  It was way too difficult last time taking both her and Briana at the same time!  Bri did great, but Candi did not!  Bri ended up having a tooth that was broken and we had no idea it was that had to be pulled!  That was rough!  Candi saw that procedure happen and thought it was great, guess as long as it wasn't performed on her! lol  So we hope that it goes better this time!  Want her to actually get looked at!  Make sure that her teeth are healthy.  She brushes her teeth all the time, I have never seen a kid love to brush teeth as much as her, but so do all my other kids and both other two girls get cavaties between their teeth, even with regular brushing and flossing.  Dentist says just something they inherited...I hope Candi doesn't get it!  It's not the easiest spot to get to fill and all.  Ugh!  Pray that it goes well this time around, we are looking at taking them here in the next month or so!  Thanks for the advise!

I hope it goes well when you take her. I told Josh I'm never taking the kids by myself, ever! LOL! I had horrible teeth as a child no matter what my parents did nothing helped I finally had to get all caps on my baby teeth. I still have problems, I just pray that Bella got her father's teeth because he never has any problems.
