Going for surgery..

Well, next wednesday we are headed to California. Children's Hospital LA. We will be staying at the Ronald McDonald house across the street. We have to be there a week before the surgery and at least a week after she is discharged. I'm so freaked out and wired. My parents have pissed me off! They said that they wanted to be there, work permitting, ok I got that. My parents are off yesterday and today and my mother said they couldn't come visit because she has to get ready for the holidays....my lil contribution to "the holidays" my family won't be present, not sure when Athena will see them again, but they can't come visit her on their days off for an hour or two, cuz they are too busy. They went and visited my nephews and my sister......I'm being petty and weird and even my dh is telling me i'm acting crazy.

You are not acting crazy, you are acting like a worried, scared mother.  We think of everything when we are scared and worried and it isn't hard for someone to upset us when we are in that mode.  But I must say I would be upset too.  Who knows when they will see their grandchild again and you would think they could make at least a little time for her before she is laid up for a bit  (to say the least).

I just want to say I hope everything goes well and I will be praying for you and your little one.
