I found this article very interesting. My son, Ethan, was born with a heart condition called Wolfe-Parkinson-White Syndrome but he was so sick the first 20 months, we didn't realize that he was having seizures. When he was diagnosed, they did an MRI. We were told that most children's seizures are of unknown etiology but with Ethan he had lesions on both sides of his brain and that was what was causing his seizures. He is currently on 3 anti-seizure medications but he continues to have seizures. I am going to print this article and show it to my son's nuerologist. Thanks for the article.

This was posted on another site by pamalaJ i ordered mine yesterday

The Children's Heart Foundation offers a free book called It's My Heart to anyone that would love to have one. You can either download it as a PDF file or order a hardback copy. It is also available in Spanish. Even the shipping is free!

This book gives definitions of heart defects, talks about how to prepare for surgery and so much more.

If you haven't already, order a copy at http://childrensheartfoundation.org/publications/itsmyheart.html

It's a wonderful book. Our organization gives them in our comfort bags for  families in the hospital
