try lite-aid curlactivator gel, sold by cvs/walgreens. does not get hard, i use it on my 5 yr old natural hair and my 14 yr old texturized, brings out the curl on both.

Quoting subbrock:

yup. i put on leave in conditioner and put the gel on top of it and voila!

to get the most definition and elongation applying products with a shingling method does wonders....
http://missjessies.com/shingling101.htm (here's a tutorial if youre not sure how to do it. i skip the blow dryer part, but thats because im lazy).

subbrock what type of leave in conditioner do you use?  Whenever I use leave-in w/IC Fantasia I get hair boogers.  Now I only use it on my naked hair.

II purchase my Smoothth N Shine from Family Dollar for 2.60, but it used to be 2.30, but oh well give it a try. The Herbal Essences is only 5 bucks at Wal-Mart. I have been using this for 2 years. By the way I also use Herbal Essencses Hello hydration moisturizing condictioner its in the blue bottle, it is awesome.

Quoting sancation:

I use Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Conditioner( Walmart in the purple bottle) while in the shower, after rinsing it out, I apply Smooth'N Shine Curl Activator Gel for extra dry hair with Aloe Vera. It does not make your hair hard. I put a stocking cap on at night , and I wet my hands with a little jail and rub it through my hair, oh I wet my whole head before before rubbing it through.(water and a little smooth n' shine).

sancation what is your application process?  My hair is most like yours and I shingle w/long aid curl activator gel.  I get similar results but not as much definition.

I saw this on a website last week and triedit Saturday......I love it. My hair is thick and I have alot and no frizz or poof from the scalp area. Also it is still going strong and it is Wednesday night. Perfect for the winter when I don't want to go out wet that often.

I wonder if it's going to be expensive at Target?  I've never tried Miss Jessies but if it is reasonable, then I'll try anything once.

How are all my Natural Sistas doing?  Our forum needs  some rejuvenation!
