I have been really stressed out, tired and very emotional. I never really get this emotional and I'm not sure why.  I don't know if my hormones are out of balance, or its just lack of sleep, but its really effecting my relationship with my husband and children.

For example yesterday was my sister's b-day party and my youngest (2 1/2 yr old) was very hyper and overtired and misbahving, while my youngest was climbing on things where he could potentially get hurt, so I choose to focus more on my youngest, but I felt guilty and neglectful of my oldest. Everyone was so busy and my youngest didn't want anyone but me to hold him. I was also incharge of taking pictures, and I was super tired and really just wanted to go to sleep.  Then this morning was really nice we were all peaceful and I let the kids play at my moms while I went grocery shopping and I just wanted to cry.  I have been snapping at my husband and letting little things get to me, and yelling at my oldest for not obeying me. I have just felt like a horrlble mom and I just want to cry all the time.  I noticed this type of thing happened last month, but it wasn't pms because I didn't start my period until 3 weeks after these episodes and it only lasted for several days. So, I really don't know if its just stress, or there is something else going on here. So, please keep me in your prayers. thank you :)

I think you have post- partum.  I just got over mine with medication.  See your OB-Gyn or regular doctor.  I had my baby in May but  knew the symptoms to look for ( it runs in my family) and you pretty  much described them.  It will get worse before it gets better.  My mom did have to stop beastfeeding my brother but after the meds she was able to breastfeed again- if you are worried about that.  I know a lot of Christians can have a hard time with this but SERIOUSLY take care of yourself first then and only then can you take care of your family and others.  I will pray for you and that God will send others to help you and take those liitle one's off your hands so you can get some much needed rest and to confirm what you need to do.

my youngest son is 12 months... and I had a miscarriage in March... could it still be PPD?

Honestly, I am not sure but I do know that your hormones could still be adjusting- which is the cause of PPD.  Definately see a doctor.  A miscarriage- still has the same hormonal adjustments as a pregnancy and birth.   I am not a doctor but I think it is worth looking into.

I told my doctor who delivered my son what I was doing to help ease my ppd (taking SAM-E, woman's multivitamin and a multi B vitamin and walking.  She told me in a snotty tone it made no sense to her.  She didn't believe me when I told her how I was feeling which made me feel worse and that I needed testing.  If I'm in my 30's and don't know how I'm feeling by now, why would I be telling her how I'm feeling? Needless to say, I switched doctors.  I've been told by many people not to go to that certain doctor after what she's done to others as well.  I am feeling better but am staying on what I'm doing with the vitamins and the walking.

If I were you, I would take a pregnancy test
