Hi all! With the holidays coming up I thought I'd ask..... What's your favorite time of the year? What's your favorite holiday?
My favorite time of the year is from October through December. My wedding anniversary is October 8th (15 years!!!). Hubby's birthday is October 13th. I start decorating for Halloween on the 1st of October. I decorate for Christmas the week before Thanksgiving and put up Thanksgiving decorations too. I love, love, love Christmas!! I love this whole season!!
What about you??

I've always loved the Christmas holidays, wherever we have lived. We're retired military. We didn't always have a chance for a white Christmas, but every place has it's own special feel to Christmas, and everywhere has lights and music to go with the season. In Hawaii on Hickam AFB, the official start of the season was the lighting of the Freedom Tower, and a wonderful outdoor Christmas concert. All the base residents would come, spread out blankets, and just enjoy the music and lights as evening fell. It was really beautiful. We've been in Texas now a few years, and we are finding our own traditions here for Christmas, but it always includes lights and music, whether Santa is in swim trunks, or cowboy boots, and Jesus is always a babe in a manger come to bring light into the world.
I absolutely love the fall season. I would probably like winter more if we actually saw real snow here. We just get the ice and slushy stuff!!! My favorite time would definetly have to be fall though because I love it when it is cooler outside and you need a small jacket. I would like it to be like October through December ALL YEAR LONG!!!!!!!!
