ADD in young adults and meds

My son is going to be 21. He has add. He does not take any meds because he gets severe headaches when the medication begins to wear off. He finished  high school and now is having a terrible time keeping jobs. He is still easily distracted and does not stay focused. He is becoming more and more despondent. Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge regarding new meds that might help. Thanks so much.

Have you tried concerta?  We went through 4 before we found this one.  It works really well for us.
