MY SON IS 8YRS AND AT 3 WAS DIAG. AS ADHD. WHEN HE WAS 6 I TOOK HIM OFF TO GIVE HIM A BREAK BUT WHAT A STRUGGLE EVERYONE HAD WITH HIM , HAD TO GO FROM A REGULAR CLASS TO A SPECIAL CLASS GRADES DROPPED AND JUST COULD NOT LEARN OR SIT STILL, SO THEN I TRIED DIET FOR HIM AND IT HELPED A LITTLE BUT NOT ENOUGH TO REALLY HELP HIM IN SCHOOL. OKAY NOW HE IS BACK ON ADHD MEDS I CHOSE THE PATCH IT WORKS OKAY HE CAN FUNCTION MORE AT SCHOOL AND LEARN, HERE IS MY ISSUE NOW HE ALWAYS WANT TO REACT TO THINGS BADLY LIKE HITTING OR SAYING REAL MEAN THINGS TO OTHER CHILDREN , GOT SUSPENDED LAST TWO DAYS OF SCHOOL . I REALLY AM LOST ABOUT THIS HIS ANGER IS QUICK AND WAY OVERBOARD HE SHOULD NOT BE REACTING TO THINGS THE WAY HE DOES. HE IS NOT REAL GOOD WITH OTHER CHILDREN HIS AGE AT ALL. I DID MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A BEHAVIOR CENTER WE START ON JULY 22ND BUT I DO NEED TO HEAR FROM OTHER PARENTS IF THEY HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS WHAT DO I DO??? HE IS THE ONLY CHILD AND NO FRIENDS AND WE HAVE KIDS OVER AFTER A WHILE IF HE IS NOT THE BOSS HE GETS SHORT WITH THEM AND IS VERY RUDE AND AT SCHOOL HE WILL JUST FIGHT . I AM SO TIRED BUT I KNOW HE NEEDS HELP SO I AM LOOKING FOR IT ,.

What is DX? I have never heard of this before..How long was your daughter on abilify before you noticing her change.We keep struggling with our son..He has tried abilify,but just for a short time..And did not seem make a difference..I hav enot tried the diet..However, I do believe that would even be more of an issue with him..We don't need more problems.Our child is off the wall and at many times very unbearable..He just put his head thru a laundry room door about 2 weeks ago..For no reason enough to do it..He just got mad as many times in a day he is over the least little thing..You might tell him something to do and he gets a major attitude, because he does not want to do it..And said he was going to slit his throat..So,I got all knifes out of our kitchen into our bedroom and locked our room..It is hard to live this way..But,we need to protect him from hurting himself..He does see a Dr. and a counselor..And Dr. said if this happens again to call him right away and he would be admitted to the mental hospital..I did call the Dr. when this happened, however the Dr. was out of town and did not get the message at that time..Any suggestions are welcome...This is my stepson by the way..And I take very good care of him..I love him like my own and would not allow anything to happen to him..I am also concerned about me and the abuse I take..Thank you..A concerned parent..

If you haven't tried it, how can you believe it would be more of an issue? It just may be the answer. Have your dr order a FOOD PANEL RAST TEST FOR IgG & IgE specific. All it takes is a blood draw. It can tell you what foods he has a sensitivity to. This test saved my son.
