Anxiety attacks and c-section?

I have a generalized anxiety disorder.. I've had panic attacks since I was 11 or so, and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when I was young as well. I'm going in for a repeat c-section February 2nd.. My first one was an emergency c-section, and I was so worried about my daughter and so screwed up from all of the meds they had given me that I barely thought about freaking out, and dozed in and out a lot.

Now that it's scheduled, I'm starting to worry. I'm pretty sure I can get the spinal without freaking out, but when I think about the surgery I start to panic. I'm really worried that I'll be laying on the table, arms strapped down, being cut open.. and will just.. lose it. And my panic attacks are horrible.. I vomit, faint, etc.. I stopped taking all of my medications for my last pregnancy and for this pregnancy.. And I'm pretty sure they can't give me anti-anxiety drugs before the c-section, right?

Has anyone dealt with panic during a c-section before? What did they do for you? How did you get through it?
