How do you know?

For the past few months I have been feeling really down and out of it. I don't enjoy much, don't feel like doing much, and often am so stressed about work and home and my pregnancy. I feel like I want to cry most days and sometimes do or I just get so irritated that I sit down and do nothing. I'm 29 weeks now and expecting my first baby. I just feel there is so much in life I want to do and can't because of our financials and the pregnancy. Is this a sign of depression? How do you really know?

I would say it may be a little depression brought on by hormone changes from the pregnancy.  First pregnancies can be really stressful.  I would talk to your dr on your next visit.

If they put me on medicines what happens then? Do they check up on you after pregnancy? Are you all of a sudden registered with child services or something? I have gone through depression before with no meds but it wasn't anything like this. And it's so hard to really tell. I will bring it up to her though.
