I am thinking about home schooling my daughter who is in the 9th grade. She is more of a visual learner rather than textbooks, etc. I was searching for a good online homeschool program for her. Anyone can help?

I don't really know of any but I just wanted to tell you a strong belief of mine about picking such a site or indeed any curriculum at this age/grade.

The biggest thing about this is including your child at this age in the decision making process. You both need to look over the sites and decide together on the best one.

I would recommend to you, to try doing unit studies with a student who is more hands on. My hands on student couldn't handle spending all that time on line. At least with unit studies there are times spent in books - we even used children's picture books for jr & sr high school - and lots of time can be spent doing crafty things. There's a great yahoo group called notebooking that is an incredible way to homeschool a student that needs more hands on. Math U See is a great hands on math program. If you have a reluctant reader, spend time reading to them every day. My kids are now 21, 19 & 16, (homeschooled k-12) & they tell me that they always looked forward to our reading time, I left them dangling so that they looked forward to it for the next day!

Just a thought from Lonna!
