Hi everyone,

I am new here and fairly new to being a SM. I have 3 DDs of my own from a previous marriage that are with me & DH part time and with their own dad the other half o the time. Been remarried about a year and 14 SD just moved in wih us full time. We are very happy to have her and it's going well. She's a great kid! but there are lots of challenges as I'm sure most of you know better than me a this point! Hoping to get advice and eventually be able to give some. and to make friends with other step moms :)

Welcome PC! I definately get the challenges part! My Skids just moved in with us almost 2 years ago but by Gods grace alone I've not run away from all the drama.

Thank you for your reply! Do you have any contact with BM?

Ours is a very complicated situation. I imagine that most STEP situations have their own degree of complication. I'm praying constantly for God's grace and guidance. I'm praying for God to sustain me through these trials. It's really amazing the doors he has opened for me and DH. I try to remind myself of these things when I get a text from BM that throws me off. or a phone call from BM's sister (who is awesome!) telling me news about BM or just talking honestly about the whole situation. I get heart palpitations and get all anxious. Then I pray for help in casting my fears and anxieties on the Lord. praying does help!
