Hi ladies, I'm Melinda I have three boys 10, 3 1/2 and 2. We moved here last summer from New Mexico that's where hubby is from. I was born and raised in N.J.  Let me just say how thrilled I am to be back EAST!! I really love N.C. the people here are just so nice I couldn't be happier. Kinston is a little small for me but my mom is my neighbor and really I can drive to Greenville, New Bern or Goldsboro for anything I can't find here. I also love how close the ocean is, not too close but still just an early morning drive and we're there.

Hello all,

I live in outside of Kinston, I have 2 children and I'm a SAHM. I'm really ready to leave ENC, but my hubby loves it here. I hope things around this area improve soon. I don't like driving to Greenville or Goldsboro or maybe even Raliegh to shop or for entertainment.

Hi, how far outside Kinston? I do know what you mean about driving, I like going to New Bern but I Love books a million. When we moved here our kids were so bummed that Sonic wasn't close b/c they loved those breakfast burritos. So now they get excited about going on a drive.

My hubby was disappointed about driving everywhere, but my son has made friends so fast and he loves his school that now we think it's worth it.

Hi everybody!    I'll reintroduce myself - I'm Cindy and I live in New Bern.    I'm 49 - have two daughters and a 2 1/2 year old granddaughter who I keep parttime and is such a joy!   I love being a young grandma and playing and keeping up with her!  

I teach preschool mornings at our church and and love to shop, cook, garden and go to the beach - I am so ready for summer!   I am also a Thirty-One Consultant.    All of this keeps me busy but I wouldnt have it any other way!

hi ladies.  i currently live in ny and looking for a house in the city that we live in but we do have a house that we bought 6yrs ago in elizabeth city,nc i love the town and the ppl.  we were hoping to move to this house over the summer of 08 but do to the economy my hubby has not been able to get a job transfer like we had hoped.  so now we have to find another house here in ny to live in for a few more yrs cuz the apt. we live in is just too small.  we r a fam of 7 hubby and i and 5 kids 14,12,8,7,4 and we r in a 1 bedroom apt. so yes getting a bigger place is very important.  we decided on a house cuz the rents that they r asking for these apts. r just as much as monthly mortgage pymnts.  well i am a sahm and hubby works 2 jobs.  hopefully we can get back to nc in the near future.
