Giving Children Cultural Experiences At Home!

Hi ladies! Its been a while and I know this group is not super active anymore, but I was just trying to get ideas of how to introduce my children to difference cultures at home? Creative ideas welcome :) We don't get overseas much anymore with #4 on the way, but I still want my kids to have "global" experiences. We even thought about getting an au pair in another year or so!

We have several different cultures in our tiny rural community.  I know we have Haitians anyway.

I think finding out what cultures are in your town and how to get involved/meet them would be great.  Make some new friends and have them over to fix a meal for you.  If you have a local college, contact them and find out ways to reach out to the foreign students.  They would love an opportunity to be in an American home and celebrate holidays with you.

Does your local library offer anything?  Programs?
