First Try!

My little guy has just started eating solids in the past two weeks. We started with rice cereal - Gerber Organic and other than that, I've made all his food. My first try was with apples - it was so much easier than I thought it would be. I used a steamer, food processor, an ice tray, and stored the food/fruit cubes in a container in the freezer.

So far we have stored: applesauce, peaches, and peas.

Going to try bananas and avocados as soon as they get soft.  I'm so excited. This four day rule is killing me, but so far so good -- no allergic reactions.

Just wanted to share!

How's your homemade baby food going?

Oh, my little guy will be 6 months old next week.

I found a great book w/baby food and toddler recipes. It's First Meals by Annabel Karmel.

That is my favorite.  It's the one I use most often.
