I get Parents magazine... and the latest issue had a few that I think I would like to make for my Melanee

The one I think sounds really great is

Cabbage and Apples
1 Golden Delicious Apple peeled and grated
1 cup finely shredded red cabbage
1/4 cup water
2tbs. golden raisins

Place all ingedients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmerten minutes. Puree in food processer or blender till smooth. Makes 1 cup

another is
Asparagus and Broccoli
1 cup asparagus pieces
1 cup small broccoli florets
1 garlic clove minced
1 Tbs. olive oil

cook asparagus and broccoli in boiling water until tender; drain.
place garlic and oil together in a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Puree all ingredients in processor. Makes 1 cup

Curry Pea
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas cooked and drained
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1/4 tsp. curry powder

Puree until smooth. *Wait until baby can digest cows milk for this recipie.

Beans Collards and RIce

1 cup frozen collard greens, cooked
1 cup frozen or fresh green beans cooked
3/4 cup cooked brown rice
1/4 cup water

puree until smooth or desired consistancy makes 1 1/2 cups

Last but not least

Spicy Sweet Potato

1 Med. Sweet Potato, Peeled and diced
1 tbs. butter
1/4 tsp. pumkin pie spice
1/8 tsp. cumin

cook sweet potato in boiling water until tender, about 10 - 15 minutes. Drain and place in food processor or blender Microwave butter and spices together for 45 seconds. Add to sweet potato mixture and puree until smooth.
Makes 1 cup

** JMO about the sweet potato everytime I make for my daughter I do it in the oven it doesnt seem like you need to cut them and  boil them for this recipie so I wouldnt. Do it however works best for you t hough!

Hope this gives everyone some new ideas for their little ones Sorry It was SOOO long!!
