I had to buy them

I had to buy wrist braces yesterday because it hurt to drive. I'm only 23 and this is happening already? I feel like I want to cry from it all. Not only do I have this physical problem, I have bipolar disorder and am on meds for that. I also have lingering effects of a blood clot in my right leg 4 years ago. I just feel like anything that can go wrong with me does. Ugh. This sucks.

It really sucks, doesn't it? I am 34 and think I'm too young too. On the bright side, don't you love the wrist braces? They make me feel sooo much better and sometimes they are the only reason I sleep. I am sorry you have all this junk and are so young. Hang in there. *hugs*

Those braces will be such a help.  They help me sleep, too.  I've thought about using them when I drive, especially to the rheumy's....that's a 45 min drive, and my hands are almost numb by the time I get there!

Hope you feel better soon!

I was diagnosed with RA when I was 23.  I felt the same way.  Most people were like "you're too young to have that...old people get that" well so do young people.  I didn't have anything else at the time compounding it....but it does suck!!!!  It's nice to have a group like this with other ladies going through the same things!  I hop you start feeling better soon!

I have a cousin (well, her mom and mine are cousins, their mothers were sisters, and they both had RA severely).  Anyway, this cousin was diagnosed when she was a teen.... I reckon this crap reallly does run in the family, doesn't it?

I have a brace collection! They do help, though. I hope you get some relief soon.

I had to buy a brace for my right hand so I can sleep. My fingers curl up and stay closed unless I use it at night. It is super comfortable. It even has a little pillow in it to help my fingers stay in a normal position. hehe.
