Math is not our favorite subject. I have tried several different ways to teach my kiddos math but it just isn't working for them (saxon, Math U See, Mcgraw Hill). Both my kiddos struggle with mulit-digit multiplication and division. I think the light bulb finally went off in my daughter's head today and she was showing progress
.
What do you use for math for your older children? textbook? workbook? worksheets? life skills?
Thanks,
~Tina
I did the saxon thing and lots of frustrating workbooks. It was horrible with one son and took far to long to teach 3 children a day. I just purchased Math mammoth for $150 for grade k - algebra. It is awesome! My math hater does 4 sections a day!!!! It is a mastery curriculum vs. spiraling( what saxon does). So they stay on a subject until they get it. they give you software so you can make more worksheets when/if you need. I HIGHLY recommend it for children that struggle with math. she even has videos to teach you how to teach your child. You can see a comparison of different curricula if you click here
Hope this helps
