I'm hoping I might find some help here...we'd love to teach our children a language and are attempting to teach Spanish, but only have what DH remembers from high school to go on!
So far we've done numbers 1 thru 10, colors, and basic items or conversational things (milk, water, spoon, please, thank you, etc.) I know that I'll need help with pronunciation and am hoping I can learn along with them so that we can all speak it and practice with each other.
Does anyone have a suggestion on where to start? Thanks in advance for your help!
If you or your husband wish to learn Spanish or any other language on your own, try LiveMocha.com. It's a free site that acts almost like a social network site in that while other member help you with your Spanish, you can help them with their English. There are also verbal, written and flashcard practice lessons.
Thank you so much for the suggestions...we do get a couple of Spanish-speaking channels at home, but they're mostly soap operas! LOL!
I'm going to look into all of them. The translator will be great so I can pick up on things as well, and the Hooked on Phonics program sounds promising! Thanks again!
